Xploration 17 – NEPS is Platinum Sponsor

Once again, NEPS is a proud Platinum Sponsor of this year’s Xploration 17 event, to be held March 28-30 at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, FL. Xploration 17 features more than 55 educational sessions on many aspects of customer communications. Robert Linsky at PLAIN 2015

Robert Linsky, director of information design at NEPS, will be giving two presentations at the upcoming PLAIN conference in Dublin, Ireland, September 17-20, 2015. Robert is a board member of PLAIN (the Plain Language Association International) and co-chairs the PLAIN2015 conference.

Goldfish, Clear Communications and LUNAtics? is the title of the presentation about clear communications using the LUNATM (Locate/UNderstand/ActTM) methodology developed by Robert Linsky.

What do goldfish have to do with clear communications?
LUNA is the methodology for designing information to ensure clear communications. Using examples, Robert will demonstrate how Locate/Understand/Act is an effective process to create clear communications. LUNA incorporates the best practices and principles information design, plain language, typography, graphic design, analysis, psychology, stakeholders and usability testing. Learn why communications fail if they do not meet ALL three requirements of LUNA and why he is a LUNAtic!

Getting the right people around the right table: ensuring success in a clear communications project is the title of the presentation organizing a clear communications project given by Robert Linsky and Karel van der Waarde.

One of the major activities of any clear communications project is to contact and involve all relevant stakeholders. This requires support from senior management, the cooperation of different departments (all those that touch the document), and direct contacts with people (both internal and external) who are likely to use the finished documents. In practice, this activity always requires more effort then expected, because the list of stakeholders can only be formed at the start of a project. To make matters even more complex, any project will modify and adjust the frames and assumptions of several stakeholders. Dealing with this requires specific knowledge and skills.

CS Week 39 Recap

CS Week 39

NEPS attended CSWeek 2015, the premier annual conference event for the utility industry in North America. Over 1,600 attendees included managers and executives at investor owned utilities, cooperatives, municipalities and government entities. Over 60 workshops were well attended, and Inlet Digital, a NEPS technology partner, exhibited.

The “CS” in CS Week stands for Customer Service; a significant amount of the conference focused on how to better service the consumer. This is where NEPS comes in – the one document that the consumer is sure to open and read each month is the utility bill. In multiple one-on-one sessions, NEPS demonstrated how, by using NEPS redesign methodologies, a utility can significantly improve customer satisfaction, reduce call center activity, and increase revenue through the use of ‘white space’ on the bill. Utlities can also ‘replatform’ from archaic tools and processes to a 21st century secure hosted platform, giving them the ability to communicate with the consumer in the manner in which they desire. The NEPS platform also provides utility staff with command, control and visibility of the flow of data and consumer messaging – allowing non-IT staff to manage production and content.

2015 Madison Advisors CCM Executive Roundtable

NEPS was pleased to be included in this year’s Madison Advisors CCM Executive Roundtable in Pompano Beach March 3rd. This was the 5th annual CCM Roundtable dedicated to CCM excellence. It was developed to allow senior leaders intimate access to the latest research and the opportunity to share best practices. Attendees leave with an in-depth perspective of how innovation is being executed in real environments. Madison Advisors is the leading advisory group in truly understanding the full CCM space in the industry.

2014 ASHP Midyear Meeting & Exhibition

NEPS will be exhibiting at The American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) Midyear Meeting & Exhibition from December 8th to December 10th. ASHP is one of the largest accredited providers of Continuing Education for pharmacists.
