Denise Miano is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of NEPS, LLC, an expert provider of communications management solutions and services that orchestrate information for relevant, personalized delivery. Ms. Miano has more than 20 years of experience in systems design and the implementation of state-of-the-art document management and delivery technologies. She is a member of the board of directors of NEPS, LLC.
Ms. Miano was the CEO of NEPS prior to its acquisition by Moore-Wallace in 1996 and spearheaded the management buy-out and re-launch of NEPS in 2004. While at Moore-Wallace, she was the Vice President of Emerging Technologies, responsible for developing technical solutions, digital offerings, and partner relationships for the company. She provided strategic systems analysis and consulting services for major customer accounts that focused on print procurement, digital technologies, and supply chain management. During her tenure at NEPS, Ms. Miano has been responsible for bringing several products to market including CMX, a content integration platform that adds support for production printing and e-delivery to content management and legacy systems.
Ms. Miano has been a featured speaker at past industry forums such as On Demand, Xplor, AIIM, and the Financial Communications Forum. She also has authored numerous articles for industry publications including Print on Demand Business, Insurance and Technology, National Underwriter, and 3X/400 Systems. Ms. Miano holds a BS degree from Merrimack College and has completed postgraduate work at the University of Massachusetts and at Kellogg University.
Chief Technology Officer
George Webb has over 25 years’ experience in the development and operational management of enterprise class multi-channel delivery solutions. These solutions cover verticals from healthcare to utilities and George has both an customer and service bureau point of view from his prior roles.
George has previously held positions at The Hartford Insurance Group, Pitney Bowes, and most recently as the CISO of Novitex Enterprise solutions. He has extensive knowledge of IT staff management, client and internal facing healthcare and insurance systems, document composition and deep knowledge of print management solutions. George‘s passion and area of expertise is data management and security, in the role of Chief Technology Officer, George will be leading the NEPS data security Office and keeping NEPS positioned at the forefront of data security trends.
As a speaker at industry conferences George has provided a unique perspective to others in the industry as a result of his ability to communicate with front line management and executives with the same level of respect and understanding of the challenges each face. He has also authored articles on data management and security in highly regulated industries and solutions.
As the NEPS Chief Technology Officer, George will be overseeing infrastructure planning and support; IT vendor partnerships, systems implementation and data management and security.
Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer
Rich Heuer is the Chief Operating Officer and the Chief Financial Officer of NEPS, LLC and is responsible to the Board of Directors for the day-to-day operation of the business. Rich and Denise Miano lead the Executive Team that also includes Mary Hegarty and Bob Wickham.
Rich brings over 25 years of experience in finance, administration, operations, and management of small to mid-sized business, the last 12 of which he served in Executive Management.
Prior to joining NEPS, Rich served as CFO & COO of a health-care services start-up organization and spent 10 years with a $150 million IT reseller and services organization where he held virtually all executive positions including Executive Vice President, CFO, and COO.
Rich was instrumental in the profitable growth of the IT solutions business from $40 Million to $150 Million in revenue.
Chief Sales Officer
Eric Baumgartner brings over 30 years of experience in the document industry to NEPS. A pioneer in transactional output outsourcing, his expertise includes the areas of omni-channel customer communications, business process outsourcing and print management.
Eric has held executive leadership roles at Moore, RR Donnelley, Xerox, Pitney Bowes, WorkflowOne, Cenveo and CSG International prior to joining NEPS. A versatile leader with P & L experience, his multi-functional background includes sales and marketing, general management and corporate strategy/infrastructure. His ability to devise creative solutions to complex business problems has allowed him a wide range of roles, from revenue generation to orchestrating successful turnarounds.
His business passion is squarely focused on the creation of real value for clients, and the ability to positively impact their business results.
As a member of the executive team at NEPS, Eric is responsible for all revenue generation, specifically through the creation and delivery of high value solutions to clients.
Mary Hegarty manages the delivery of NEPS’ products and services associated with Communications Management group at NEPS, which encompasses Consulting Services, the CMX Content Integration Platform, and the NSite SaaS platform. She has over 30 years of experience in the Customer Communications area, including print strategy development and implementation management, document and content management and Information Design.
Mary was part of the original NEPS team, where she worked in both marketing and training positions. She has previously held positions at Art Plus Technology (now a wholly owned subsidiary of NEPS), Xerox Corporation and NewRiver, Inc., a provider of “best-in-class” solutions for electronic compliance and intelligent document fulfillment. While there, she was instrumental in the successful implementation of a content management/web and print on demand solution for an industry leading Retirement provider, as well as the architecting of a significant product upgrade.
Ms. Hegarty has been a speaker at major conferences such as the Xplor annual conference, HP Exstream User Group and the Financial Communications Forum. She has published multiple articles on the RFP process, writing about it from both viewpoints – writing and evaluating RFP’s and responding to them. She is an active member of Xplor international and served as the treasurer of the Xplor Northeast region from 1990 – 1992. Mary proudly serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE), where she has been active as a Board member since 2000 and Board President from 2006 – 2008. Mary holds a BS degree from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
Bob Wickham has over 25 years of experience in the document and content management industries. Bob started his career in electronic policy production working for American International Group. In 1990, Bob joined the original NEPS team where he held a variety of positions in engineering, implementation and sales. After a successful run in sales and sales management, and as NEPS joined Moore North America in 1996, Bob was promoted to Director of Technology Strategy. This role encompassed sales, market research, prototyping, developing new products and bringing them to market. The full complement of products netted Moore North America over $22M in profitable revenue.
In 2001 Bob joined INSCI Corporation (now Datawatch Corporation), serving as Vice President of Regional Sales, and later returned to NEPS in 2004, where he now serves as General Manager of the Enabled Print Solutions (EPS) Division. EPS serves the Healthcare, Automotive and Casino/Hospitality industries and also offers horizontal solutions that serve a variety of other markets. The key values EPS provides are compliance, cost savings, responsiveness, safety and operational efficiency. Over the years EPS has developed solid, long-standing relationships with its customer base, and Bob is very proud to lead the EPS team members and carry out the every day mission of “Every customer a reference customer.”
Bob earned a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and Business from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire and has completed several post-graduate courses. Bob’s stays active with his hometown’s volunteer activities and leads the annual NEPS Toys for Tots campaign.
Deborah Schadlick joined NEPS in 1988. With 30+ years of experience in finance, as VP and Controller she oversees general accounting, building/facilities management, purchasing, human resources and budget compliance.
